You’ll work closely with a dedicated team in a warm, inclusive primary school in Leeds. The school is known for its strong community spirit, nurturing ethos, and commitment to inclusive education. Staff collaborate closely to ensure every child receives the support they need, and the school has a well-established SEN provision with access to external specialists.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll:

  • Provide tailored support to a pupil with specific learning and/or behavioural needs
  • Implement strategies from the pupil’s EHCP
  • Foster emotional wellbeing and social development
  • Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and families to ensure consistent care
  • Create a safe, engaging learning environment that promotes independence

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (1:1 experience preferred)
  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEND training) are desirable
