Senior Claims Adjuster in London - Claims Recruitment Services

We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster on behalf of an excellent London Market Insurer.

The Senior Claims Adjuster will lead the end-to-end handling of complex and major loss contingency claims across multiple jurisdictions, focusing on open market event cancellation and non-appearance, and film and contingent PV in addition.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering technical excellence, equitable outcomes, and outstanding customer and broker experience.
• Providing market leadership, and contributing to wording development, portfolio analytics, and reserving.
• Owning a complex caseload from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to resolution.
• Applying knowledge of contingency policy forms, both LMA and bespoke.
• Applying an understanding of underlying budgets and contracts between clients and third parties.
• Commissioning and managing experts.
• Setting and maintaining accurate case reserves.
• Leading coverage positions and strategy on major losses.
• Driving optimal outcomes through ADR and litigation management.
• Coordinating with underwriting on loss trends, risk selection insights, and wordings.
• Liaising with actuarial / finance on IBNR, triangulations, and portfolio reserving.
• Represent Company in product / wording forums; leading CAT / event response playbooks for large-scale cancellations.

Key Requirements

• 8 –12+ years specialty claims experience, including 5+ years in Contingency.
• Proven track record handling large and complex losses with USA experience, including litigated matters.
• Strong familiarity with London Market claims protocols, and co insurance / reinsurance structures.
• Professional qualifications: ACII. FCII / Chartered Insurer is a plus.
• Degree in Law, Business, Risk, or related discipline is advantageous.
• Ability to provide concise, defensible written positions.
• Presents confidently in market meetings and mediations.
• Takes accountability for outcomes, leakage control, and claims lifecycle efficiency.
• Resilient in high profile losses and media sensitive events.
