Head of Organisation Development & Change

?? East London (Hybrid - 2 days per week on site)

?? Not-for-profit organisation

?? £75,000 - £84,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are supporting a leading not-for-profit organisation to recruit an
exceptional Head of Organisation Development & Change. This is a pivotal
leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering organisation-wide OD and
change strategy, ensuring transformation activity is aligned, evidence-based and
delivers measurable impact.

Reporting to the Director of Organisation Development & Change, you will lead
both the OD Partnering and Change Management teams, building capability,
embedding sustainable cultural change and ensuring the organisation is equipped
to deliver its strategic ambitions.

The Role

This is a highly visible leadership position, combining strategic oversight with
hands-on delivery across transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management (25%)

* Provide visible, values-led leadership to the OD and Change teams.

* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

* Deputise for the Director of OD & Change where appropriate.

Strategy & Delivery (35%)

* Lead the development and implementation of OD and change strategies aligned
to corporate priorities and transformation roadmaps.

* Ensure consistent application of change methodologies and governance
frameworks.

* Oversee business readiness and change support across priority programmes.

* Align leadership development, organisational design, culture and capability
frameworks to strategic objectives.

* Ensure all interventions are evidence-informed and outcome-focused.

Stakeholder Engagement - Internal (10%)

* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executive colleagues.

* Influence leadership capability, cultural alignment and people management
excellence.

Stakeholder Engagement - External (10%)

* Engage with external partners and consultants to bring best practice into the
organisation.

* Represent the organisation externally where required.

Financial & Governance Responsibility (15%)

* Manage OD and change budgets, including consultancy spend, ensuring value for
money.

* Oversee procurement and quality assurance of external partners.

* Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory and health & safety standards.

* Produce reports for governance groups and board-level committees.

Risk, Systems & Evaluation (5%)

* Ensure effective risk management relating to OD and change activity.

* Maintain robust data, reporting and evaluation frameworks to evidence impact.

About You

You will be an experienced OD and change leader with a strong track record of
delivering transformation in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.

Essential:

* MCIPD qualified (or equivalent).

* Extensive experience in organisation development and change management.

* Strong change/project management capability (APMG, ACMP, Prosci or similar
advantageous).

* Expertise in organisational design, culture change, leadership development
and capability frameworks.

* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level.

* Budget management and procurement/tendering experience.

* Data-driven approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

* Experience in public sector or regulated environments.

* Experience operating within formal transformation governance structures.

Team & Scope

* Direct management of 2 senior leads, with oversight of a wider team of
approximately 8.

* Accountability for OD and change budgets, including external consultancy and
transformation-related activity.
