Job Description

We are working with an established capital markets advisory firm specialising in UK small-cap and growth equity transactions. The firm advises founders, company leadership teams and institutional investors on fundraising, equity placings and public market transactions.

This is a front-office analytical role with direct exposure to live corporate finance activity and capital markets execution.

The Role

As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will support the execution of equity capital raises and work closely with both corporate clients and the institutional investor community. The role combines transaction support, market analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with institutional investors, funds and family offices to support capital raising activities
  • Assisting with the execution of equity placings and fundraises
  • Preparing investment materials and supporting the presentation of live opportunities to investors
  • Managing investor databases and tracking systems
  • Supporting client relationship management and transaction workflows
  • Monitoring market developments, regulatory announcements and sector activity

This role offers early exposure to live corporate finance mandates and the execution process behind equity capital markets transactions.

Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking someone with prior exposure to small- and mid-cap UK businesses, ideally gained through a broker, capital markets desk, investor relations or corporate access function, who is ready to take on a more commercially focussed role.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong communication skills and gravitas when engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and genuine interest in equity capital markets
  • Proactive approach to relationship building and stakeholder management
  • Resilience, self-motivation and a results-oriented mindset
  • Ambition to develop a career in corporate broking and capital markets

Sector experience in small/mid-cap markets is valued, though aptitude, commitment and ability to learn quickly are equally important.

Opportunity Overview

  • Hands-on involvement in live transactions from an early stage
  • Collaboration with experienced dealmakers and company founders
  • Accelerated learning environment with direct exposure to capital markets mechanics
  • Meritocratic culture with progression linked to contribution and performance
