Production Quality for a Leading Manufacturing and Engineering organisation

I'm supporting a well-established, high-performance manufacturing business in Gloucester that's looking to strengthen its Production Quality capability with the appointment of an experienced Quality Engineer.

This is a hands-on role with real influence - focused on driving right-first-time performance, reducing scrap, and embedding robust quality controls across complex production processes.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading production quality activities within an assigned value stream
• Driving APQP, PFMEA and Control Plan implementation
• Owning customer quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa
• Reducing scrap and improving process capability using data & SPC
• Supporting new product & process introduction
• Playing a key role in audits, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives

What I'm looking for:

• Proven Quality Engineering experience in a complex ISO 9001 / AS9100 manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP/FAIR/ISIR, SPC, Control Plans
• Confident reading and interrogating engineering drawings & GD&T
• Methodical, detail-driven and comfortable working cross-functionally
• Lean exposure and auditor training are advantageous, not essential
• Experience within a machining, CNC or a similar type of precision production environment would be highly advantageous for this role.
