Working closely with senior leadership, the role focuses on developing opportunities, supporting technical specifications, and strengthening relationships across the construction, municipal, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will work with customers and internal teams to shape engineered solutions and guide opportunities from early engagement through to successful project outcomes, supporting business growth generation.

As a Technical Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting strategic initiatives that contribute to market growth generation and business development
  • Identifying and developing opportunities across construction, municipal, and industrial sectors
  • Providing technical input during specification and proposal stages
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Delivering technical presentations and solution-focused proposals where required
  • Collaborating with engineering, marketing, customer service, and project teams
  • Monitoring opportunity pipelines and contributing to forecasting and planning activities
  • Ensuring effective use of CRM tools and maintaining strong QHSE and safety standards
  • Travelling as required to support customer engagement and project activity

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Degree or qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience within the construction industry or a related manufacturing environment
  • Background in technical, commercial, or customer-facing engineering roles
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret performance metrics
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Exposure to ERP systems, business-related qualifications, or knowledge of SIOP processes would be advantageous
