Treasury Specialist - 6-Month Temporary Contract

Location: Darlington

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: Up to £45,000 (pro-rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Treasury professional to join a dynamic organisation on a 6-month temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership, and can hit the ground running from day one.

About the Role

You will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the Treasury function, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and strong stakeholder engagement. This is a hands-on role that also offers the chance to support and develop team members while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily treasury operations, including cash positioning, cash forecasting, payments processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and senior internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring full compliance with group treasury policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Coaching, developing, and managing members of the treasury team to support high performance.
• Leading and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across Accounting Operations, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and best practice.

About You

• Proven experience in a Treasury or similar financial operations role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and managing competing priorities.
• Available to start immediately.
