Financial Accountant in Tadcaster - Robert Half

We are partnering with a well-known business based near Tadcaster, currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their core accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to play a pivotal role in a successful and supportive finance function.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality statutory and management reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, supporting cash flow forecasting, and assisting with tax and audit matters. This hands-on role is ideal for a second-time mover, perhaps newly qualified from a small to mid-tier practice, looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of statutory and management accounts.
• Maintain and enhance financial reporting controls and compliance.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist in liquidity management.
• Support the audit process, working closely with external auditors.
• Provide support on group taxation, VAT, and related queries.
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.

About You:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified.
• Strong technical accounting skills with up-to-date knowledge of reporting standards.
• Experience with statutory reporting, audit, and some tax work.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and excellent communicator.
• Ideally a second-time mover from a small or mid-tier practice background.
