Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Corby, Northamptonshire

Pay: £90 Per Day (Term-time)
Tradewind Recruitment is working with schools in the Corby area to recruit a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about making a positive difference in young people's lives.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for students with mental health and emotional needs
Supporting pupils with anxiety, trauma, low mood, or behavioural challenges
Helping students regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategies
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
Promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Supporting students both in and out of the classroom
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH / mental health needs
Be calm, patient, and empathetic
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Be resilient and confident in managing challenging behaviour
Have experience in education, care, youth work, or mental health settings (desirable)
Hold relevant qualifications or training in mental health or SEND (desirable but not essential)
