AAT Accounting Adviser in Godalming - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited

Your new company A fast-growing and forward-thinking accountancy firm is looking to add an Assistant Accountant to its expanding team. The firm works with a broad mix of clients - from SMEs and limited companies through to multi-entity groups - operating across sectors including manufacturing, media, professional services, IT, and property development. Your new role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role within the team and take ownership of your own client portfolio. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing your workload across planning, client communication, and billing
• Preparing full sets of accounts files for partner review
• Acting as the first point of contact for client compliance queries
• Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members
• Working confidently with cloud-based accounting systems
• Ensuring all work meets current regulatory and compliance standards

What you'll need to succeed

• AAT Level 3/4, Part-Qualified ACCA, or QBE
• Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting regulations
• Confident communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
