Assistant Accountant in Newcastle - KCR Solutions

KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this excellent company in Newcastle to recruit an an Assistant Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will be as follows:

• Supporting the preparation of financial reports by cost centre
• Dealing with variance analysis against forecasts
• Assisting with the preparation of income statements, balance sheets and cash forecasts
• Ensuring transaction on the P&L and balance sheet are accurate
• Managing and reconciling intercompany recharges and liaising with the Group
• Ensuring the accounts in the general ledger system are consolidated to the Group system
• Contributing to periodic reporting processes and performing ad-hoc reviews
• Assisting with reconciliations and analysis, highlighting and resolving issues where necessary
• Recommending and supporting improvements to accounting processes and reporting practices

You will be a part qualified Accountant, ideally working towards your qualification and will have strong experience in contributing to the management accounts and financial reports. Strong IT and data analysis skills are essential.
