Finance Analyst
Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid)
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per annum + benefits

We are working exclusively with a global industry leader to recruit a Finance Analyst to join their Hemel Hempstead-based finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional looking to continue their qualification while gaining strong commercial exposure within a well-structured, supportive environment.
Reporting into senior finance stakeholders, the Finance Analyst will support the preparation and analysis of management accounts, with a particular focus on indirect cost of sales and overhead performance. The role provides hands-on involvement across month end, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives-ideal for someone looking to strengthen their technical and analytical capability.

The Role
You will work closely with other finance team members to ensure best practice is shared, processes are consistent, and reporting outputs meet the needs of senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Analyse indirect costs and overheads against budget and forecast, identifying variances, underlying drivers, risks, and cost optimisation opportunities
* Support the production of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary
* Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting deadlines
* Contribute to process improvements aimed at enhancing cost control, reporting accuracy, and financial governance
* Provide support during budgeting and forecasting cycles, helping to build robust and reliable financial plans

About You
* Actively studying towards CIMA or ACCA (part-qualified)/ AAT Level
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial data
* Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
* A collaborative team player with a proactive and inquisitive mindset
