Accountant — Harrogate Accountancy Practice

Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Position: Accountant (Full-Time)

Salary: up to £38,000

Campbell Grove Talent are working with an established, forward thinking accountancy practice in the centre of Harrogate who are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Accountant to join their growing team.

About the Practice

This well regarded and expanding practice supports a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses across Yorkshire. Known for its approachable style and commitment to excellent service, the firm prides itself on building long term client relationships and supporting the development of its team members.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of clients and ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:-

• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
• Completing corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT returns
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping and providing cloud accounting support (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage)
• Providing proactive advice to help clients understand their financial position and support business growth
• Liaising with HMRC and external stakeholders on behalf of clients

Candidate Requirements

• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified
• Experienced working within an accountancy practice environment
• Confident using cloud accounting software (experience with Xero is highly advantageous)
• Detail oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and very proactive in developing client relationships
