Accounts Assistant- AAT study package

Location: Manchester- with hybrid working, 2 days from home
Salary: circa £26,000- £28,000

We are supporting a leading property company in Manchester seeking a junior Accounts Assistant to join its busy finance team. The role will focus on managing income, cash allocation, maintaining accurate tenant accounts and handling finance queries to ensure smooth and efficient accounting operations.

This opportunity is ideal for a finance graduate, AAT studier or someone who is keen to embark on AAT and is who is eager to develop their skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties will include:

• Complete daily and weekly bank reconciliations, cash postings and support accurate allocation to assist credit control
• Post cash transactions across multiple entities using internal finance systems
• Prepare weekly cashflow reporting
• Support purchase ledger checks, month-end routines and general finance administration as required.

Skills & Attributes:

• Ideally a finance related degree or working towards/ interested in commencing AAT qualification
• Some understanding and experience of bank reconciliations
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and organisational ability
• Able to work independently and use initiative
