Management Accountant
Location: Blackburn (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days from home)
Salary: Up to 50k depending on experience

Are you a qualified accountant looking for your next challenge? We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-established and growing business headquartered in Blackburn, operating within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will become a key member of a small, close-knit finance team where you will have the opportunity to make a real impact from day one. The role offers a high level of responsibility and variety, with broad exposure across the finance function and regular interaction with senior stakeholders across the business.

This position would suit a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is keen to develop their skills and progress as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Maintain robust financial controls
• Complete and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts
• Support the annual budgeting process
• Create variance reports
• Lead monthly meetings with stakeholders
• Business partnering
• Support the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors

Key Skills & Experience:

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified – my client would also consider a finalist
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and financial system
