About the role

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Key Stage 2? We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with additional needs in a vibrant primary school in Camden. This child requires a patient and proactive approach due to challenging behaviour, frequent movement around the classroom, and difficulty maintaining focus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored strategies.
• Support the pupil in managing behaviour and staying engaged in learning.
• Use positive behaviour techniques and de-escalation strategies.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for the child.
• Liaise with SENCO and external professionals where needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
• Ability to remain calm, resilient, and proactive in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
