Transactional Team Leader


Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE
Role Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Can offer Hybrid working post-probation

The Role


As the Transactional Team Leader, you will oversee a team of Property Lawyers and Legal Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and performance across all key metrics. You will collaborate with fellow Team Leaders and report to the Managing Director on progress, performance, and departmental improvements.
While based in the Sheffield office, flexibility may be required to support other areas of the business as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and motivate your allocated team to meet and exceed departmental KPIs and SLAs.

  • Conduct regular 1-to-1 meetings, training sessions, coaching, and team meetings.

  • Perform file and call audits, providing feedback and coaching to staff.

  • Manage daily team performance and address underperformance proactively.

  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.

  • Foster a positive, professional, and inspiring team culture.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all team queries.

  • Ensure the highest levels of client service are consistently delivered.

  • Maintain service levels on incoming calls and secure messages via the firm's app.

  • Monitor and update work portals, escalating any issues to stakeholders or referrers.

  • Attend and contribute to team and departmental meetings.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Support the Managing Director with additional duties as required.

  • Set the standard as a role model in file management, system usage, and team behaviour.
What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in a customer service role (essential)

  • Conveyancing or property sector experience - desirable but not essential

  • Proven track record in managing or supervising a team

  • Experience in a legal, insurance, or professional services environment

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and computer literacy

  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines

  • Motivated, professional, and client-focused approach

  • Experience delivering operational and soft skills training

  • Comfortable working towards and communicating performance targets
