Job Description Bumi Armada UK Limited (BAUK) currently have a permanent staff opportunity for an Instrument Technican to join the Armada Kraken FPSO team on a 3:4:3:5 rotational pattern. Responsible for carrying out maintenance of the installation’s Instrument & Control systems and associated equipment with minimal environmental impact in accordance with regulation & legislation. The successful candidate will have relevant offshore experience, and will:

Be responsible for carrying out all instrument maintenance and repairs on the installation in conjunction with the Lead Instrument Technician and provide technical guidance on instrument related equipment.
Fulfil the risk management requirements by ensuring all instrument related risks in the production systems, associated utilities are identified and ensure compliance with the procedures.
Ensure knowledge of safety requirements, including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, Company policies and instructions.
Communicate closely with the HSE Advisor on HSEQ matters.
Be familiar with the FPSO’s plant and machinery, their safe operation and maintenance.
Implement planned and corrective maintenance on all instrument equipment offshore, in a safe and competent manner, to safeguard the availability and operating condition so that maximum compliance and production targets can be achieved.
Provide clear reporting of deficiencies and malfunctions to the Lead Instrument Technician, discuss and analyse technical and spares issues with the Materials Coordinator and propose solutions related to eventual bottlenecks, deficiencies, and non-conformities.
Maintain an accurate history in the CMMS System of work undertaken.
Provide instrument technical support to the facility and assistance to the Maintenance Department.
Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all instrumentation, metering and telecom equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly.
Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out and apply effective fault finding and investigation techniques.
Provide guidance to other crew members in matters pertaining to the safe operation of instrumentation on the installation.
Support contractors' activities ensuring all work carried out meets statutory requirements and is in accordance with the installation safety management systems.

The successful candidate must have:
BOSIET or FOET including CA-EBS with shoulder width measurement
A valid OGUK medical certificate
Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST)

Candidates must have a pre-existing right to work in the UK unaided. No visa assistance is offered.
