Technical Director in London - Futureheads Recruitment | B Corp™

Job Description Futureheads are partnered with a modern smart fitness brand who are looking to bring in an experienced technical leader to head up their software development teams. We are open to considering an established Technical Director who is happy to get involved in the hands-on side where required, or a tech lead who is looking to step up.

In this role you would be determining the technical direction and define best practice across the engineering function. We’d hope that the viable candidate is aware of modern tech trends and can appropriately decide on how to move the businesses technology in a progressive manner, whilst identifying and mitigating risks. As a leader across multiple agile teams, you should be a confident mentor and leader, with a multi-faceted approach to adapt to different personalities and styles.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to display the following:

Commercial experience leading and mentoring teams.
A good awareness of technical trends.
Ability to determine technical requirements and work with teams to develop delivery schedules.
Strong motivational and interpersonal skills.

Technical knowledge:

Full Stack Development experience (Java/Kotlin)
Mobile Development understanding (Swift/Kotlin)
Strong OOP/Data Structure/Design Patterns understanding
Cloud computing knowledge
Understanding of cloud observability concepts (logging, monitoring, alerting etc.)

This role is hybrid, with the office based in London.
The successful hire will report to the Chief Product Officer.

Salary: £90,000-130,000 DOE.
