Job Description

Job Description The objective of this role is to work within the Merchandising team to maximise commercial opportunities on your product areas throughout effective management of stock intake.

Main Duties and Responsibilities (not exhausted to):
Trading:
• Prepare weekly review of stores and product in preparation for Monday trading meeting
• Provide weekly trading actions to optimise department sales and margin.
• Attend store visits from which create and execute an action plan to improve trade
• Assist the Merchandiser to manage intake flow into business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales and minimise risks and communicate to DC for short term work flow planning and longer term budgeting
• Control Branch inventory levels, allocations and replenishment to branches as required
• Ensure that all product landing in the warehouse has the correct Cost and Retail price and that the margin reflects correctly
• Plan and action new store ranges (in conjunction with pre-schedule)

Planning and Forecasting
• Assist the Merchandiser and provide information to create Quarterly /Seasonal strategies for
departments relating to all KPI’s
• Provide historical analysis to develop Quarterly / Seasonal Planning Forecasts for Product
areas of responsibility
• Ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with the Buying Calendar
• Ensure all order books are reconciled with the Suppliers
