Job Description Your Company:
The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful manufacturing business to join them on their search for an Interim Product Manager to join their team in the Christchurch area for a 12-month fixed term contract . The business is exploring growth routes for many of their core offerings and business product lines. This has come off the back of a substantial period of success in recent years.

This position has come around to cover maternity leave for a period of a year. The position holder will be taking over duties looking after a selection of product categories relating to household and homeware for the business. The role will take ownership of the product projects from inception to completion, partnering within various business partners and functions to oversee the production and completion of mandates.

This is a contract position, and is NOT permanent , and therefore candidates MUST be happy to undertake a brief such as this and be able to start within the near future (be available immediately or at least within a week or two max).

Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
Monitoring all work that needs completed within projects, setting and ensuring it is done within deadlines and allocating resources and teams members to conduct tasks
Managing the product development from inception to completion stage
Identifying potential risks and taking measures to report and mitigate these
Developing and maintaining very strong working relationships with manufacturing partners, ensuring good control over production is kept
Contributing to category plans for the financial year
Collaborating with and managing key stakeholders on projects to discuss and ensure viability and delivering project updates as needed
Working with the buying teams to communicate job information clearly and set out defined briefs
Understanding the technical specification and makeup of products
Providing support for presentations to customers

What You Will Need To Apply:
To be considered for this role, you must have experience in project and product management, particularly within a manufacturing environment and knowledge of the manufacturing industry is a must. Project management should cover projects across multiple SKUs and categories. Strong communication skills are paramount in this role, especially with stakeholder management and engagement, as well as good working with cross-functional teams to support a project outcome. Applicants must be able to understand and run a critical path.
