Job Description

Job Description Our client are an established nationwide supplier of performance textile and other fabric products. They have several divisions each focused on various product ranges including bags and covers, flags and flag poles, printed textiles, medical and scientific products.

They are looking to add an experienced SCS Supervisor to their growing team.

Requirements

Responsibilites:

To provide effective and competent supervision of production teams, ensuring that the work environment is provided with the materials, equipment and knowledge. To ensure that all jobs go out on time and keep the sales and technical team informed of any issues that arises on the shop floor.

Ability to manage the workflow of the team at your disposal
Advanced sewing techniques
Sample manufacture
Packing goods
Measuring and assembling goods in the factory or warehouse
Maintain the working areas of the production facility ensuring they are clean, tidy and organised fashion and that Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to
Management of holiday requests
Any other tasks are responsibly requested by the Directors or other senior managers

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

You will have the ability to understand and react to instructions and requirements of the division Deputy General Manager in relation to basic operational tasks
You will require basic numeracy and literacy and communication skills
You will be prepared to regularly change the tasks you are required o do and have a highly flexible approach to working with others
Ability to problem solve and work to tight deadlines
At least 2 years supervisory experience is an advantage
The ability to sew would be an advantage but not essential

The role requires significant shadowing/training with our current supervisor on the day-to-day tasks to ensure a smooth handover. You will also work very closely with the Production Planner and together provide each other support in the management of the factory.

Benefits

Hours:

This is a permanent full-time role of 42.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 0800-1700, we will also consider hours of at least 38 or 40 per week whichever is preferred.

Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
