Our client’s London Technology practice has an established multi-disciplinary team. They are renowned for providing legal advice and have a geographic footprint to deal with complex transactions across technology, telecommunications, privacy and cyber security.

The Team

The esteemed IT team is led by well regarded Partners and has a well-established track record of providing particular expertise in contentious and non-contentious technology, privacy, and cyber security. The team helps clients in all aspects/stages of cyber attacks from due diligence to business recovery following an attack.

The Role

The London office of this law firm is looking for an associate to join their team. The role will see you working closely with the team on a range of high-quality transactional matters. The candidate would be able to handle high-tier cross-border work for a diverse range of clients, including financial services, consumer goods, and automotive industry.

The role will have a strong focus on cyber security which will include:

Technical and organisational security measures.
Applicable law and regulation.
Data mapping.
Diligence of M&A targets.
Implementing the cyber attack plan.
Regulator engagement and breach notification requirements.
Crisis management.
Review and recovery.
Regulatory investigations and enforcement.
Litigation and dispute resolution.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have 2 - 5 years proven experience from a highly respected firm.

Our client will consider those who are more specialised looking to broaden skill set and very much open to Associates from Australia and New Zealand.

You will ideally also have:

strong grasp of key principles relating to Cyber Security as well as a demonstrated commercial acumen;
strong attention detail;
excellent communication skills;
outstanding academic credentials; and
excellent client relationship skills.

Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor.
