Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our client's established team. This role is a hybrid role, with the ideal candidate attending one of our client's Southwest offices 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer include:
Increase capacity and capability within the technical support function byproviding highly skilled advice on a range of existing in-use technologies and emerging solutions.
Support and development of technical processes in relation to cloud technology
Produceand maintain technical documentation, ensuring it is kept current throughcontinual review
Technical responsibility for supporting a number of hybrid cloud tools as well as training others in their use
Involvement in planning and product upgrade roadmaps
Providing knowledge transfer to the team to ensure no single points of failure exist

Requirements of the Technical Support Engineer include: High level of technology literacy
Strong practical experience in a 2nd or 3rd line application environment
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Server environments and Office 365 solutions,including Azure Active Directory
Cyber security awareness and a logical approach to minimising risk within our technical environment
An understanding or certification in ITIL, specifically incident, problem and change management
Ability to demonstrate experience of in-depth problem-solving skills and solution based thinking
An ability to analyse complex problems and understand root causes
Willingness to learn new skills including building strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and Azure Security

The ideal candidate will have experience within anIT support role, with a strong generalist understanding to 2nd/3rd line level.The role will include both proactive and reactive problem solving and working with 3rd parties to implement technical changes.
