£50,000 to £55,000 (depending on your experience and skills)

As an in-service support Electronics Engineer, you'll focus on the electronic aspects of torpedo design, repair, and maintenance & have the chance to work on complex projects at different stages of development and to contribute throughout the lifecycle in part of the wider Underwater Weapons team.
In this role, you'll be involved in:
Designing and developing electronic assemblies from start to finish
Supporting off-site trials
Testing high voltage alternators with custom equipment
Conducting tests on customer platforms
Turning requirements into detailed designs
Selecting components, creating schematics, and assisting with PCB layout
Analysing fibre optic systems using specific tools
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
Experience in defence or high safety environments
Design experience for volume production using computer-aided engineering
Proficiency in analogue circuit analysis and signal processing
Knowledge of power supply and decoupling principles
Ability to integrate systems and troubleshoot issues
Bonus points for:
Knowledge of Fibre Optics, Power Electronics, or Test & Measurement
Experience advising PCB layout for EMC considerations
CEng accreditation or working towards it
