About the role
As a member of the team, you will develop and utilise your 'know-how' and experience of working with geospatial information and Ordnance Survey (OS) data and services to deliver technical advice to Public Sector Organisations, Solutions Providers and Platform Providers. You will help customers 'in the moment' with technical support and provide insights and recommendations.
Working alongside our Government Relationships Team and our OS Channels Team, you will be the voice of the customer within OS. You will influence the development of our products in line with our customers' expectations and goals. You will primarily have responsibility for a providing technical consultancy in Wales and supporting colleagues with your expertise to allow for all customers to receive excellent customer experience.
Some of the responsibilities of the role include:
Provide technical support to enable our customers and partners to solve their problems

Provide consultancy on the opportunities of using geospatial information to achieve their business goals and deliver on their business needs

Identify, build and maintain successful working relationships with external and internal customers

Collaborate with colleagues to write project reports and propositions, as well as prototypes, demonstrators, code examples and documentation that provides customers with what they need for adoption and use of OS data and services

What we're looking for
Good data and analytical skills and problem-solving skills

Effective planning and decision making

Very Good organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills

The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and manage stakeholders

Proven ability to work to tight and changeable deadlines

Experience of working with the Public Sector and/or experience of working with Solution Providers

Domain expertise in one or more of the following sectors:
Central Government

Local Government

Health and Social Care

Environment and Energy

Transport

Security and Resilience

On the technical side, we are looking for hands-on experience and a proven track record of very good knowledge across two or more of the following areas:
Databases

GIS and Geospatial platforms

Spatial Data Management and Data Translators

Web Mapping, Web Services and APIs

Programming languages (such as Python, JavaScript or SQL)

Detailed knowledge of OS data (products and services)

Salary - £37,324 - £43,910 (depending on experience)

Location - Wales
This is a remote role, where the position holder will be looking after our Wales region. It is expected the successful candidate will have hold a full valid driving license, and be able to travel around Wales as required. Whilst many of our PSGA clients are in the South of Wales, travel across the whole of Great Britain is sometimes required.
