Can you see yourself working as a Facilities Assistant? If so, then you would need to be available to start immediately. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a committed team, providing a practical service to the staff and pupils of the school. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following:

Key holding, locking/unlocking
Compliance including COSHH, asbestos and Fire Safety
Repair and maintenance
Assisting with Facilities manager on site
Porterage and the cleanliness of the school diners
Room preparation for meetings and lettings
Helping to uphold the health and safety of all users of the school

As the successful candidate you will have:

- Previous experience of working in a similarly responsible site role, preferably within a school

- Ability to relate well to children and adults alike

- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe storage of materials

- Basic Health & Safety knowledge, and willingness to adhere to the Code of Safe Working Practice.

- A background in cleaning, plumbing, woodwork or general 'handy-work' would be advantageous

- The willingness to learn and train on the job

- A strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team, and a professional and proactive attitude
