Electrical and Mechanical Fitter in Leeds - CV-Library

Electrical and Mechanical Fitter (electrically bias) required for my client based in Leeds, who speciailse within the metering and fuel gauge systems industry.

The successful fitter will be responisble for testing equipment, repairs and coordinating with engineers and tank builders.

This role would suit a trained engineer looking to grow their knowledge and skills in an expanding company that offers plenty of opportunities.

Electrical and Mechanical Fitter Position Overview

* Completion of a wide range of production tasks to the required quality standards.
* Assemble manufactured components into sub-assemblies.
* Testing and reworking a wide range of products.
* Work to be carried out within our GRN system.
* Assist in tank builder visits.
* Occasional stores tasks to be carried out.
* Responsible for keeping work areas clean and tidy and safe from hazards.
* Report and record nonconforming products and components.
* Participate in meetings and training for development.
Working closely within a team and on your own.

Electrical and Mechanical Fitter Position Requirements

* Apprentice trained or qualified to minimum - Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering OR Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering equivalent.
* Be confident at fault finding both mechanically and electrically.
* Must have an understanding of engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of working with Electronics and Pneumatics.
* Bench fitting skills.
* Experience working in an engineering environment.
* Experience with lifting equipment.
* Experience in a customer facing environment.
* The above qualifications are not essential but desirable.
* Based within a commutable distance of Leeds.
* UK driving licence is required.

Electrical and Mechanical Fitter Position Remuneration

* Salary - £26,000 to £30,000 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications
* Full time position - Monday to Friday (No Shift Work)
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
