The company
A global manufacturing business based in Birmingham supplying into the world's leading Aerospace and defence Industries. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking a Maintenance Planner to support the Maintenance and Engineering team.

The role
A Maintenance Planner to work within the planning department who will provide support to the Maintenance and Engineering team and improve the functionality of the maintenance systems.

Mon - Thurs - 06:30 -15:00
Fri - 06:30 - 14:00

You will take responsibility for:

To play a pivotal role in developing the maintenance planning department, supporting the wider engineering and maintenance teams
To organise and fulfil scheduled Planned Maintenance, TPM, PPM, and administrative tasks, including regular completion of risk assessments
Liasing with the planning team to ensure equipment, processes and training plans are compliant and maintaining appropriate stock levels and coordination of spares.
Improve functionality of current maintenance systems (CMMS, etc) and reviewing and updating corrective and planned work orders to accurately reflect tasks and requirements.
Provide support to area maintenance teams with issues and breakdowns
Generate, maintain, and deliver KPIs to track departments performance
What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

Experience or desire to work within a manufacturing/production environment
Experience with planning and scheduling of works and ability to take on small projects
Team leadership skills/experience and able to participate in and conduct meetings
Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel
A skilled communicator who is organised with a great attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Other DESIRABLE skills include:

Previous experience supporting manufacturing teams would be highly advantageous.
Ability to analyse technically complex problems and develop appropriate solutions.
Mechanical/Electrical background would be desirable.
