TRAINEE MACHINE OPERATOR - NIGHT SHIFT

COMMUTABLE FROM BUCKINGHAMSHIRE / NORTHANTS / BEDFORDSHIRE

Salary Stating at £14.50 per hour (Increasing up to £15.43 per hour through training) + 20 working days plus 8 Statutory Bank Holidays (rising to 25 days plus 8 statutory days over time) + Company Pension + Life Insurance + Onsite Parking + Annual Profit Share Bonus

Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday - 10:00pm till 6:00am

Our client is one of the UK's leading independent sheet plants who specialises in the design and manufacturer of Corrugated Packaging, the company is well established yet growing rapidly currently employing approx. 100 people and is also well invested with further capital projects underway. The company operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company work with have strong green credentials.
They are currently looking for a Trainee Machine Operator to join their night shift team. You will work within a team developing a range of skills initially starting as a Trainee. The main processes within the company include flexographic printing, rotary die cutting, flat bed die cutting, window patching, gluing and stitching.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning to operate manufacturing machinery including manual handling and heavy lifting.
Being an active member of a small team striving to hit daily/weekly KPI targets.
Ensuring that the products meet their high-quality standards.
Ensuring your working environment is safe, clean and tidy.
Following company health and safety procedures.Requirements:

Prior experience operating machinery in a shift working manufacturing environment.
Experience of batch manufacturing process management.
Experience of die cutting, flexographic printing, gluing and stitching processes.
Knowledge and experience of BRCGS Food certified working environment.
A desire to work hard to develop a career in cardboard packaging.
Committed to helping the company continue its success.
A strong desire to improve your own skillset.
An ability to work to high standards with minimum supervision.
Good IT skills.For this position the initial training for the role will be arranged for day shifts which will take around 2 months and then you will be working fixed permanent night shifts going forward
