Job Description
This role would very much suit someone who is working in metal manufacturing who is ready to move to a more senior post and is keen on focussing on reducing waste, maximising team output and doing a hands on management role.
* Develop and implement an improvement strategy focusing on manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, and quality assurance, to develop and implement new products or processes.
* Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Microsoft AX (MRP) – Routing and technical data overview and ownership
* Ensure product manufacturing techniques and work instructions highlight and confirm customer and internal specifications
* Managing resources to meet production delivery targets and operational costs within budget
* Ensure all staff have clear individual and team objectives and these are regularly reviewed and performance managed
* Have a clear understanding of what the team are expected to deliver in line with the company’s strategy and behaviour's
