Road Freight Operator in Manchester - CV-Library

We are seeking a dedicated Road Freight Operator to join our clients logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the transportation of goods via roadways, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Road Freight Operator will work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and clients to ensure efficient and effective freight operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and optimise routes for timely and cost-effective deliveries.

* Coordinate with drivers to ensure adherence to planned routes and schedules.

* Oversee the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.

* Monitor freight movement, tracking shipments, and providing status updates to clients and stakeholders.

* Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including weight limits, road restrictions, and safety standards.

* Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and other documentation as required.

Experience:

* Proven experience in freight operations, logistics, or a related field 3+ Years

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Knowledge of transportation regulations, route planning, and freight management systems.

* Proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office and logistics software
