Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant

Watford

Full-Time

ASAP or September Start

Pay rate: in line with experience £77 - £95 per day!

An OUTSTANDING nursery in Watford are seeking a strong Level 3 Teaching Assistant who can support the teacher in the classroom and have their own group of key children. You will need experience of working with Early Years and know how to adapt to the needs of the particular group / individual children in line with the early years foundation stage.

Are you an enthusiastic and energetic Early Years Practitioner?

Are you confident in supporting three and four year olds with their learning?
Can you provide a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment?
Are you able to establish positive relationships with children, their families and
your colleagues?

Do you have the ability, passion and commitment to be a Key Person?
Do you have a sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS?
The Role:

To be responsible for protecting and safeguarding children
To be committed to the safety and well being of all children and nursery users, respecting and understanding the importance of confidentiality
To be forward thinking and contribute to the development of the nursery
To follow daily routines and contribute to the smooth running of the nursery
To settle in new children and provide ongoing support for them and their families as a key person
To interact positively and enthusiastically with children, taking into account their individual needs and abilities
To provide a friendly, caring and relaxed environment in order to promote and develop children’s learning effectively
To contribute to planning and resourcing a stimulating, purposeful environment that supports learning both indoors and outdoors
To plan, organise and carry out developmentally appropriate activities
Record each child’s progress, reporting on achievements and areas for development
Be accountable for the progress and outcomes of children in your key group
To maintain a ‘Learning Journey’ for each child whom you are Key Person to
Requirements:

You must hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification for early years
 Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum
DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
