Operating across 150 countries, this company provides sustainable solutions for food and beverage manufacturing. Their team handles intricate projects throughout the entire asset lifecycle, working closely with major multinational producers to design and build cutting-edge facilities. This role involves overseeing multi-million-pound projects from start to finish, ensuring efficient and top-quality construction while adhering to rigorous industry standards.

Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Lead Mechanical Pipework Engineer to join the expanding FBUK team.

About The Lead Mechanical Pipework Engineer Role

You will be responsible for the mechanical development of bespoke equipment and pipework, along with progressing projects through all stages of a development lifecycle.

The Lead Mechanical Pipework Engineer will be responsible for:

Offer support for business development and provide technical insights as necessary.

Manage the design, procurement, installation, and testing of stainless-steel pipework and equipment.

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Ensure adherence to PED, PSSR, API, ASME, PD5500, ISO, EN standards.

Supervise pressure testing, NDT techniques, and CE marking processes.

Specify materials including super duplex, stainless steel, and carbon steel.

Utilise pipe stress analysis software to evaluate existing equipment.

Take charge of fee-only, turnkey, medium/large FEED, and EPC projects.

Lead the project lifecycle from scoping through to commissioning.

A successful Lead Mechanical Pipework Engineer will need:

Proficient in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Skilled in stainless steel pipework, valves, and equipment.

Strong in project management and communication.

Experienced in engineering contracts and procurement.

Leads collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.
