Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a full time Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our client in Crawley.
This is a full time role with a hybrid working available.
In this role theSenior Electronics Design Engineerwill provide versatile electronic hardware/firmware control system designs to enable new products to be developed that meet the required specification including cost, within the agreed timescale and project costs.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain products with the Engineering team
- Write Hardware and Firmware specification documents to meet the requirements of the product design specification
- Design schematics and PCB layouts as per the spec
- Review, test and write reports on new PCBA designs
- Design and write firmware in C/C++ to meeting specification and coding standards
- Follow and maintain the engineering change revision process
- Create and work with additional data and documentation as required
- Plan, monitor and control workload and progress, ensuring deliverables are achieved against agreed timescales.
- Work in a small team environment, with varied responsibilities
- Become a key member in the new product development environment
- Work with other departments and external parties as required to assist in the progress of NPD projects
- Support or carry out tasks requested by management
Skills and Experience:
- Good time management
- Degree qualified in Electronic and Firmware Engineering/related subject
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in the area of embedded systems with hardware & firmware development
- Proficiency in schematic capture tools like Orcad/PADS/Altium is required
- Experience with PCB layout tools like Allegro/PADS/Altium layout is required
- Design of circuits containing embedded processors, Ethernet, PWM & Displays
- Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation
- C and C++ firmware development experience
- Experience with manufacturing techniques and design for manufacturing concepts
- Experience in handover and management of designs in production
- Efficient AC and DC power supply design
- Experience in HVAC systems
- Experience in Electronic Control Designs
- The ability to cope in a high-pressure environment with change and conflicting demands.
- Experience of single and three phase brushless DC motor technology
Monday-Thursday 8:45am-4:55pm, Friday 8:45am-4:25pm
Salary range: £50,000-£60,000 per annum. Potential 5% bonus
