Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Location: Northern Home Counties

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus benefits package

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety excellence within our organisation.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Provide guidance and support to management and staff on health and safety matters.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
Deliver health and safety training programs to enhance awareness and promote a positive safety culture.
Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and best practices, and ensure compliance across the organisation.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role, preferably in construction.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites within the Northern Home Counties region.
