Electronics Engineer – Product Development, Chesterfield, Salary negotiable, 8.30-4.30 Mon – Fri, office based.

Arlington Moore is working with a successful, growing company in the Chesterfield area, who design and install some amazing products that can transform lives. They are now looking to appoint an Electronics Engineer and would also welcome applications from Graduates in Electronics Engineering and/or design

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer or Graduate with a genuine passion for new design who is adept at juggling a variety of projects at any one time.

As the Electronics Engineer within product development, you will be required to develop your own new electronic product ideas and bring to fruition suggested electronic products from various stakeholders within and outside the business.

The Electronics Engineer will manage development projects all the way from initial research, through design, prototyping, manufacturing and delivery to the marketplace. With your innovative mind and research capabilities you will identify new market opportunities and develop products to meet emerging needs.

The Electronics Engineer will foster and nurture the creative skills of colleagues, assimilate market intelligence from outbound sales, installations teams, and other colleagues operating in the field, and channel these rich veins of information into efficiently managed projects delivering market leading new electronic products.

The Electronics Engineer will provide internal support to the manufacturing and sales team by aiding customer queries and supporting other planning.

Along with the product development, The Electronics Engineer will be expected to learn their current range of technical products and offer support for them to our customers, and use intelligence from this activity to develop products.

In addition, the Electronics Engineer role will have specific responsibility for:

* Taking an active part in the initiation of new product ranges and product refreshes

* Creating detailed product specifications, hardware designs, prototypes and embedded software to deliver required functionality

* Ensuring manufacturers and suppliers are briefed accurately, effectively and meet required deadlines

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing supplier portfolio and sourcing new suppliers for specific projects

* Ensuring product feasibility and produce a calculation/study for any capital projects

Experience required of the Electronics Engineer

* Ideally experience with manufacturing techniques and knowledge of design for manufacturing concepts

* Experience of designing PCBs and products with embedded electronics would be highly advantageous

* Proficient in the use of Solidworks to create CAD designs advantageous

* Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot trends

* Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines

* Enthusiastic and highly motivated

* Logical and creative mind and is eager to innovate, learn and develop

* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
