CIVIL / STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER
 
POSITION : Civil / Structural Design Engineer
 
LOCATION :   Commutable from York , Hull , Beverley , Leeds , Sheffield , Doncaster, Grimsby , Scunthorpe, Harrogate, Selby
 
SALARY AND BENEFITS :  Generous package plus car ( inc fuel card ) or car allowance + bonus + healthcare
 
THE ROLE :  This is a great opportunity for an experienced Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join our client , a well established and successful business who work across multiple sectors.  Hybrid working is available, however, there will be a requirement to attend the office at least 2/3 days per week.
 
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :

A degree in a relevant Engineering subject.  Experienced candidates qualified to HND/HNC level may be considered
Previous experience working as a Civil / Structural Design Engineer working to UK standards
Good understanding of office applications and CAD and CAD standards DUTIES :

Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements
Produce design calculations and drawings.
Direct and develop CAD Technicians and more junior Designers and Graduates.
Prepare design investigations, reports and specifications.
Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards.
Ensure project change for design package is recorded.
Undertake work using formal processes and procedures.
Assist with estimating hours required for design packages
Attend IDC meetings and design presentations and present simple designs
