Job Title: Residential Childcare Assessor (Apprenticeships)

Location: North (Manchester through to North East) – mostly Remote working

Salary: £25,500 DOE (+£4500 Car Allowance)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Hybrid Working: 1 in 3 visits face to face

Salary Details:

Up to £25,500 for Qualified with IQA award and ability to teach up to Level 5), with slight drops dependent on which level taught/IQA status, salary starting at £22,500 for unqualified, with a £4,500 car allowance and salary increase increments based on longevity and performance for both.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Childcare Assessor to join our clients team, an Outstanding provider of Residential Childcare and Adult Social Care apprenticeships. The role involves assessing learners on apprenticeships in residential childcare, with a focus on delivering high-quality training and support. The ideal candidate will have occupational competency and experience delivering in residential childcare, it would also be suitable for individuals experienced in delivery of early years apprenticeships or courses, as these skills are transferable to the residential childcare curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and provide support to learners on apprenticeships in residential childcare.

Deliver high-quality training and support to apprentices, both face-to-face and remotely.

Ensure apprentices progress effectively through their qualifications, meeting deadlines and achieving targets.

Maintain accurate assessment records and learner documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to learners to help them achieve their learning goals.

Liaise with employers and stakeholders to ensure apprentices receive appropriate support and resources.

Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to curriculum development and improvement initiatives.

Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to residential childcare.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:

Level 3 Assessor qualification or equivalent (Desirable)

IQA award and ability to teach up to Level 5 (Desirable)

Experience delivering early years apprenticeships or courses (Desirable)

Occupational competency in residential childcare (Essential)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
