An excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior Town Planner to join a leading planning and design firm in Nottingham. The company deliver expert Planning, Environmental and Design services for their clients in the residential, commercial, retail and education sectors.

Qualifications:

Ideally candidates will have a relevant planning related BSc / MSc (or equivalent) and will have achieved Chartered status with the RTPI.

Experience:

Applications are sought from candidates with a minimum of five years planning experience, preferably within a consultancy environment, preparing planning applications and appeals, liaising with clients and local authorities and formulating development strategies.

Duties:

Preparing planning applications and appeals
Advising landowners and developers on projects and policy issues
Negotiating with local authorities
Present proposals at planning committees
Assisting the Director with the winning of new work
Mentoring junior members of staffBenefits:
