Job Description

At Winchmore Tutors, we are dedicated to providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs. We believe in creating structured and supportive environments where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

We are looking for tutors to conduct structured sessions aimed at developing all aspects of the our student’s expressive language skills and supporting their in-class performance. The student is a Year 10 student who presents with the following challenges:

- Naming Vocabulary: Helping the student expand their vocabulary and improve their ability to name objects, actions, and concepts.

- Sentence Formation: Guiding the student in forming grammatically correct and coherent sentences.

- Conversational Language: Assisting the student in developing conversational skills, including turn-taking and topic maintenance.

- Structuring Questions: Teaching the student how to ask and answer questions effectively to facilitate communication.

- Reciprocity and Conversational Interchange: Encouraging the student to engage in reciprocal conversations and exchanges with others.

The student faces additional challenges, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and communication difficulties.

This position is for 12 hours per week, spread over 3 hours a day.
