Nursery Manager in Preston - CV-Library

Our client is looking fora Nursery Manager as the current one is now looking to retire.

- full time, team of 18 staff with potential for a deputy to step up.

-120 children on role with 60 plus per day in 4 ‘rooms’

Duties

• Recruiting employees and providing ongoing training in best care practices
• Developing and maintaining the nursery budget

• Arranging marketing materials
• Monitoring the condition of the facility and equipment and organising maintenance, repairs and new items as required
• Updating parents and Carers about their child’s progress and behaviour
• Answering enquiries about enrolment, payments and practices
• Developing and implementing an age-appropriate program of annual events and activities
• Preparing the nursery for Ofsted inspections and following inspector recommendations
The manager should be financially competent and able to run nursery management software as well as understanding, and preferably more, book keeping software. We currently use Xero. However getting the right person trumps these competencies as we can manage work arounds
