Job Description

Joining a long established local firm you will be an integral part of the department.

You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law matters.

You will work closely with the Corporate & Commercial team to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, mitigate legal risks, and resolve employment-related disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of employment law, including but not limited to employment contracts, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, and employee benefits.
Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice to clients.
Represent clients in administrative proceedings before government agencies and in litigation matters related to employment disputes.
Collaborate with HR professionals and management teams to develop and implement employment policies, procedures, and best practices.
Participate in alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration, to resolve employment disputes efficiently and cost-effectively.
Maintain accurate and organised legal files and documentation related to employment matters.
Stay abreast of industry trends and legal developments related to employment law through continuing education and professional development activities.Qualifications and Skills needed:

3 PQE
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documentsBenefits:
