Job Description

Azure DevOps Engineer / SRE

Southampton, Hybrid, 2 days onsite
£65,000 to £75,000 + bonus & benefits
Azure, Kubernetes, Cloud, BICEP, SAAS, PAASWe are looking for an accomplished Azure DevOps Engineer to join an award-winning global technology and SaaS company.

The R&D teams develop leading edge solutions for the criminal justice sectors in the UK & US. Leveraging modern technology and innovation, they are leading the field and expanding fast. As a result of rapid growth, the company is looking to automate, support and maintain applications 24/7 and are hiring for an experienced DevOps Engineer / SRE.
The team is responsible for reducing the number of issues and speeding up the time to detection/resolution of issues using automation, tooling, telemetry, and data.

This is a very hands-on role. You will be involved in ensuring cloud platforms are observable, measurable, reliable, scalable, and maintainable. You will have significant experience in a DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineer, or Cloud Development role and expertise with Azure Devops tooling.

Knowledge and experience:
We recommend having most items in the "Must-have" category or a similar alternative. Example, proficient in Terraform but not BICEP, OR GitHUB Actions and not DevOps pipelines, would have no problem switching across.

Key Technical Experience

Significant experience with Azure PAAS, SAAS and IAAS services.
Experience of build, deployment, and release activities.
Experience with infrastructure/configuration as code (BICEP, ARM).
Experience with version control (Azure DevOps GIT).
Exposure to Azure DevOps pipelines is essential.
Production experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
Experience and in-depth knowledge of databases and data handling (MS-SQL, Elasticsearch, YML, JSON, XML).
Demonstrable experience of supporting live cloud services and platforms.Benefits

Minimum of 2 days in the office
25 days holiday per annum (there are also 8 Statutory Bank Holidays)
