Job Description

Our Client is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence and are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Test Operator who has completed a full Electrical apprenticeship. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing testing tasks within the operational business while adhering to product certification procedures and defined workmanship standards. Additionally, the candidate will need to ensure that they remain within allocated budgets and timescales to achieve project objectives. This is a full-time on-site opportunity with the possibility of a contract extension or permanent employment.
What we're looking for:
Electrical Apprenticeship in One of the following
Approved Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship Framework/Modern Apprenticeship'or'
Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 'or'
Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 'or'
Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNC
Significant electrical test experience required
Manual handling /ESD training: Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes).
Excellent planning, organisational and adaptable skills.
No colour blindness
What you'll get to do as an Electrical Test Operator:
Ensure the product conforms to the certification procedure and maintain its certification and approval through regular audits. Possess a diverse set of skills that can be applied to different tasks. Perform the necessary setup procedures required for testing, including periodic recalibration of testing equipment. Follow the instructions provided for testing electronic equipment and use the designated testing equipment. Perform basic fault-finding procedures on electronic equipment and rectify any identified issues. Keep test records, report faults for rectification, and ensure that manufacturing test times are met. Uphold the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality. Adhere to all relevant procedures related to the manufacturing process. Share best practices with other members of the team.
