Teaching Assistant - Hair and Beauty in London - Tradewind Recruitment

Location: Camden
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay: Dependent on experience

We are looking for a confident and proactive HLTA or Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school, supporting students throughout the school day, including within the Hair & Beauty department during afternoon sessions.

The ideal candidate will be strong with behaviour management, confident de-escalating challenging situations and able to build positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement in both classroom-based and practical learning.

The Role:

• Providing support to students throughout the school day.

• Supporting practical Hair & Beauty sessions in the afternoons.

• Managing behaviour confidently and consistently.

• Supporting students with additional needs and promoting positive engagement.

• Working alongside teaching staff to maintain a safe, structured learning environment.

• Encouraging students to develop their confidence, independence and practical skills.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working as a TA, HLTA or in a similar educational setting.

• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

• Confident supporting students with additional needs and challenging behaviour.

• Patient, resilient and proactive, with a positive approach.

• An interest in Hair & Beauty or vocational learning would be advantageous.
