Technical Business Analyst in London - Robert Walters

A global bank with a London branch is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to join its Fintech team, reporting to the Deputy Head of Fintech and working closely with the IT Project Manager. This is a hands on role: you'll be writing code yourself, not just documenting requirements for someone else to build.

• Gathering and shaping business requirements, then turning them into technical specs the dev team can build from
• Mapping workflows and assessing how new requests will land on existing systems
• Acting as the main link between business teams and developers, so you can hold your own on both sides
• Writing your own scripts and Python programs to automate repetitive BAU tasks
• Using SQL to pull and check data, testing APIs, and sanity checking technical feasibility with the architects
• Helping troubleshoot issues for internal users
• Coordinating with Desktop, Infrastructure and Network teams to get solutions delivered end to end
• Pitching in on releases and rollouts, with occasional out of hours cover if something breaks

• Python and SQL are non negotiable, not nice to haves
• Solid debugging and troubleshooting instincts
• Some previous IT support background
• A track record of working well as part of a team
• Degree preferred
• Several years of relevant development or BA experience, ideally with some banking or corporate exposure
• At least 3 years' work experience in the UK
• Able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship, as this role can't support it

• Five days a week in the office
