Job Description

We are pleased to present a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded investment group as a sole charge Finance Manager, based in London. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take full ownership of the entire finance function, overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with all financial, statutory, regulatory, and tax responsibilities.

Your role will involve maintaining robust financial controls, delivering accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, and supporting strategic business planning. You will also provide vital financial insight to the CEO and Board to support ongoing growth and success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire finance function, ensuring precise records, timely month-end processes, and strong controls.
  • Preparing management accounts, Board reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and performance analysis.
  • Handling revenue processes such as client invoicing, contract administration, credit control, and debtor management.
  • Overseeing purchase ledger, supplier payments, expenditure, and supplier relationships.
  • Managing payroll, pensions, and employee benefits, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Ensuring adherence to accounting standards, VAT, tax regulations, audit procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Supporting the CEO and leadership team with financial planning, commercial insights, operational projects, and process improvements amid a period of growth.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified, or exceptional QBE candidate
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with Sage
  • SME background with hands-on experience
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • A team player capable of translating financial information for non-finance stakeholders
