A Deployment Project Engineer opportunity has opened up with a fast-growing clean energy business. This is a hands-on, site-facing role where you will own the full journey of cutting-edge modular systems from factory floor to live installation.

The Role

The Deployment Project Engineer will carry full accountability for getting modular energy systems from manufacture through to on-site commissioning, coordinating every stage of that process with precision and pace. Day to day, this means overseeing civil subcontractors across groundworks, utility hook-ups, cabling routes, pipeline work, and solar installation, while keeping schedules tight and risks visible early. 

The role requires experience within PLC, HMI, SCADA, and UK wiring regulations, alongside being responsible for meeting CDM obligations.

This is an engineering-first, UK-based clean energy business. The team runs lean and moves at pace, with the vast majority of staff working as hands-on engineers rather than in supporting functions. The structure is flat, creative autonomy is genuine, and people who demonstrate the capacity to own whole areas of the business have progressed quickly.
The role is split between their London location and project sites in Swindon. 

What experience does the Deployment Project Engineer need?

• A background of managing end-to-end project delivery for physical infrastructure or hardware in construction or field environments

• Strong experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and UK wiring regulations

• Working knowledge of CDM obligations and UK Health and Safety requirements as they apply to live site construction activity

• A track record of coordinating and holding subcontractors accountable across multiple concurrent workstreams, including groundworks, utilities, and pipework or electrical installation

• Confidence across project planning tools and schedule management, with the ability to identify and surface risks before they affect overall delivery
