We are actively recruiting enthusiastic, adaptable Cover Supervisors for high schools across Pensby, Wirral (CH61).

If you're a youth team leader, sports coach, support worker or experienced education assistant, this role puts you right at the front of the classroom-giving you total hands-on experience without ever bringing lesson prep or marking back home with you!

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with secondary youth (e.g., tutoring, coaching, youth work, or TA roles).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with teenagers.
• Confidence with classroom management and handling low-level disruption assertively.
• Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Key Duties:

• Supervise high school classes (KS3 & KS4) during short-term teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-set work and learning instructions provided by the department.
• Maintain strong classroom control using the school's positive behaviour policies.
• Keep students focused and on-task throughout each lesson period.
• Collect completed work and report back to the subject department head.
